Cycle Adirondacks is also honored to support two incredible day rides designed to further connect cyclists with the region’s spectacular natural beauty and vibrant communities. These events also provide an opportunity to learn about and engage with organizations who work tirelessly to enhance the Adirondack environment and economy.
Bike the Barns – October 1, 2017
Now in its second year, this Sunday, October 1 ride is a fully supported recreational tour supporting the rich agricultural movement of the North Country. This one-day Champlain Valley farm-by-bike experience features farm tour stops staged along the route where you can personally connect with the local food revolution.
This agritourism experience is presented by Adirondack North Country Association and culminates with a finish line local food celebration complete with a meal,beverages and music. All proceeds will be used to support local farms and a portion of every rider’s event fee will go directly into the FarmShare fund. This event is SOLD OUT. Thank You! Ride for the River – July 15, 2018
This family-friendly event is a fully supported ride showcasing the stunning Ausable River watershed in the heart of the Adirondacks.
Ride for the River was created by Ausable River Association in 2012 to celebrate the resilience of local communities following the devastating flooding caused by Tropical Storm Irene. In partnership with Cycle Adirondacks, the 2017 ride will feature new interactive route stops allowing cyclists to learn about the impacts of road salt, invasive species and undersized culverts on Ausable streams and habitat.
